HOW TO RECEIVE NEW LIFE FROM GOD... Start here.

[Director of Worship]

In pursuit of God’s plan for his life, Clem and his wife Rhenae moved to Chesapeake, Virginia in October 2006.  They attended their first service at New Life Providence in January 2007 and knew that this was the place that God had chosen for them.  Clem joined the Providence staff as Director of Worship on September 1, 2008.  “I am so honored that God has appointed me to serve in this capacity in this season”.

A native son of Detroit (“D-Town”) and a “preacher’s kid”, Clem’s interest in music was sparked at a young age by his parents.  “Both my parents sung in a professional group in Detroit so music became a constant in our home. I can’t remember a time where I wasn’t either playing an instrument or being taught how to play.  It’s part of my DNA.”

A man with many passions and great ambition, God has blessed Clem to pursue two paths of interest, one as a musician and the other as an attorney.  Clem graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and the University of Detroit with a Juris Doctor degree and a Masters in Business Administration.  He has helped managed a number of complex and politically sensitive business and legal projects throughout his professional career.

He studied voice and composition at Wayne State University in Detroit and has been provided the opportunity of serving with a number of noted musicians and singers across the country.  Also a composer, he has written a number of songs over the years that have been performed in a variety of venues in the Detroit area. “In light of all these accomplishments, it is my relationship with God that matters.  Nothing else can compare.”

Clem’s passion is music and God is molding him every day into His true worshipper. “To know me is to know that I have a heart for God and His people.  We often have a concept of what a worshipper should be, but the more intimate my relationship with the Father becomes, the more I discover that there is still a deeper level.  I love to see God’s people wholeheartedly worship Him.”

Clem and his wife Rhenae resides in Chesapeake.  He absolutely loves family time, music, travel and friends. He currently serves in several community and professional organizations.

Peace out.
